I am a composer/performer living in Baltimore. As an artist and a Baltimorean, I mostly associate with these people.
I make music with computers and pre-recorded material, mostly small sounds (greatly amplified) and my own voice. I like really nice sounding drum samples, and really dirty sounding synthesizers.
I think music is for having fun and not for trying to look cool.
